The playfully poppy Army Navy's upbeat sound comes from Alternative roots. Army Navy producer Adam Lasus has worked with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo, and Gigilo Aunts. The band has just recorded their first full length LP, something they see as their dream record. Blending British pop with a California sound. Army Navy frontman Justin Kennedy's shared vocal duties with Ben Gibbard in his prior band, Pinwheel. Joining Kennedy and fellow troopers Louie Schultz (lead guitar, keys) and Ben Gaffin (bass) on the Army Navy debut is none other than drummer Pete Thomas, of Elvis Costello's Attractions. Known for an explosive live show, Army Navy performs regularly with artists as varied as Teenage Fanclub, Wolfmother, The Tyde, The Youth Group, Spinto Band, The Like, and Arctic Monkeys.
