These two hip hop artists released a CD, "Like Father, Like Son," in late 2006. Birdman, who is also called by other names, such as Bryan "Baby" Williams and "no. 1 Stunna" formed a partnership with Lil Wayne, sometimes called "Birdman, Jr.," "Weezy F. Baby," or "Tha Carter" to make this CD happen. Lil Wayne, whose given name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was born in New Orleans' 17th Ward and was an only child when his father died. The Birdman says he feels like Lil Wayne is his son and part of his family. Between the two rappers, they have sparked much controversy. Lil Wayne is a songwriter as well as a rapper, and is also known as president of Cash Money Records, a New Orleans-based label, and the CEO of Young Money Entertainment. Lil Wayne performed his rap at block parties until he gained attention from another neighborhood rapper. At 13 years old, Lil Wayne dropped out of school to pursue his musical career. August 2007 should have seen the release of a mixtape with The Game, the "Murda Game Chronicles Part II: Blood Brothers." In April 2007, Lil Wayne released a CD entitled, "Da Drought 3." Also in 2006, Lil Wayne joined with Juelz Santana to create the mixtape, "I Can't Feel My Face." In 2004, Lil Wayne showed his talents as a lyricist, with the release of the CD "Tha Carter." Birdman was a member of the Big Tymers in 1997 when their song "How You Love That" went gold and in 2000 with another album, "I Got That Work," that went gold as well. In 1999, Lil Wayne had a platinum solo CD entitled, "The Block is Hot." Birdman and Lil Wayne have seen much success, both separately and together.
