Blindspot was a nu metal band straight outta Waitakere, New Zealand. The band came together in 1997 and featured a rotating lineup that included Damian Alexander (vocals), Shelton Woolright (drums), Marcus Powell (guitar, backing vocals), Dave McDermott (bass) and Brandon Reihana (guitar). The band broke big in 2001 with a sonic broadside called "Nil By Mouth" -- which picked up airplay on modern rock radio. This was followed up by their self-titled debut album, which went platinum in New Zealand in its first week of release. That record boasted Phlex" which cracked the Top 10. Though Blindspott split up in 2007, to pursue other projects, their musical legacy rages on.
