About Considering Lily

The acoustic-based pop/alternative CCM duo Considering Lily has seen its fair share of change. Serene Campbell and Pearl Barrett, sisters from New Zealand, began to perform in the United States in 1991 under the name Serene & Pearl. They released their first album, Crazy Stories, in 1995, and their second album, Considering Lily, in 1997. Soon after, Campbell decided to leave the group to devote herself full-time to her family. Barrett felt led to continue Considering Lily and was introduced to Jeanette Herdman, wife of Bob Herdman of Audio Adrenaline, by Eddie DeGarmo of ForeFront Records. The two hit it off immediately and began writing songs together two days later. The new Considering Lily moved from their original folk-based sound to an edgier, more alternative sound, leading to their third album, The Pieces Fit, in 1999. ~ Melinda Hill, All Music Guide
