You will probably remember JC Chasez from his days of touring and recording with the boy-band 'N Sync. The band was one of the many produced in the later 1990's and is still very well known for its pop style and inextricable dancing. Chasez was a vocalist/dancer just like everyone else in the group and like many pop stars that rose to fame during 'N Sync's time at the top, he got his start on the Mickey Mouse Club. When the singing group's success was slowing to a crawl Chasez pursued his own solo music career that has included producing other pop records and his own albums to boot: Schizophrenic (2004) and Kate, due for release sometime in 2007.nnHaving written many of the songs released by his former pop group, Chasez had no trouble with the songwriting for his own records and singles like "Some Girls (Dance with Women)" and "Build My World" were well received by his fanbase, still loyal from his 'N Sync days. Dallas Austin, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Billy Steinberg have all had a hand in the current record and with "You Ruined Me", "Yesterday" and "God Bless America" slotted as the album singles it is hoped that sales will do well and bring Kate to the pop charts. nnChasez is first and foremost a singer and this is what all of his songs reflect; his part in the performance and recording is to bring his own style of vocalisation to each track in a way that will work with the music, and hopefully be as catchy as his songs were in the earlier days of his career. JC Chasez has a voice that cannot be mistaken by his fans and he is definitely lucky to have 'N Sync fans still following his career. As they have grown up and matured, so has the music Chasez produces and although it is still clearly very pop, it is hoped by him and his team that the two maturations will go hand in hand.
