About Maze
Legendary smooth soul group Maze made their debut in 1977, with an original new take on R&B that laid the cornerstone for the "Quiet Storm" sound that dominated '80s urban radio. Led by Frankie Beverly, a Philadelphia native transplanted to San Francisco, Maze released a string of now classic albums and singles in the '80s, and are best known for hits like "Joy And Pain," "Running Away" and "Never Let You Down." The group's Live In New Orleans, We Are One and Silky Soul albums are considered career highlights. Though their output slowed in the '90s, Maze still tours regularly.
