About Serena Ryder
Singer/songwriter Serena Ryder hails from Ontario, Canada and plays a quirky blend of folk, roots and country, and boasts an unusual three-octave range. Ryder got her start as performing as a teenager and released her first album in 1999 at the age of 16. Her major label debut, Unlikely Emergency, followed in 2005, and the single "Just Another Day" received major airplay in Canada. Ryder's 2007 album, If Your Memory Serves You Well, covered famous Canadian songs from the likes of Leonard Cohen and others, and was followed by the Told You in a Whispered Song EP which won her a Juno Award in 2008.
