Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, the stage name of DeAndre Way, is one of the most successful young hip-hop artists of the decade, having been nominated for a Grammy before the age of 18. He rose to fame on the internet, launching the hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" for free on his MySpace and YouTube in 2007. While his lyrics have been criticized, Soulja Boy is considered by many to be a pioneer in the new direction of hip hop and the digital music scene, responding to fans and critics with video footage. His experience has allowed him to become one of the youngest record producers in the industry.
